The Centre County Tactical Response Team (CCTRT) stands as a collaborative unit made up of 15 officers from six law enforcement agencies throughout Centre County, among them three University Police officers stationed at University Park. The CCRT is dedicated to advanced preparation, engaging in regular, rigorous training that covers a broad spectrum of tactical disciplines. Members refine their proficiency in critical incident management, search and entry strategies, and high-precision marksmanship. The team is mobilized for high-risk situations such as the execution of select arrest or search warrants, management of barricaded gunman scenarios, dignitary protection details, and providing a tactical presence during significant public events.

Beyond Centre County, a number of University police officers and other law enforcement professionals across the Commonwealth lend their expertise as representatives on similar tactical response teams within their own communities.

This network of trained officers fosters a culture of collaboration and preparedness, positioning law enforcement agencies to respond effectively to critical incidents wherever they may occur.
